After a crazy successful album release, and 2016 as our best year by far, 2017 opened with some serious challenges and heartbreak for us as a band:
-At the end of 2016 we were told that we would be going on tour with the FAST growing and hugely successful band STARSET. We were supposed to do 25 dates all over the country, but come January, this fell through.
-At the end of February, our drummer Jake announced his intent to move on from Cross the Divide.
These two things caused us to have to regroup a bit, and you may have noticed, we’ve been quiet on social media, but…
WE HAVE GREAT THINGS AHEAD!
We are planning a big tour for the fall, Chase and I (Zac) will be heading down to Nashville in May for a a huge networking opportunity, and music conference to help spread our music, we will be releasing another single for nationwide airplay, and tomorrow we will be selecting the drummer we will work with for the foreseeable future!
Cross the Divide will carry on, and we will have new music, new show locations, and more to come. 2017 will be GREAT!
Like a phoenix, we will rise from the ashes to the skies.
The firelight that purifies will burn us into life.
We’ll see you out there! More soon!

Since premiering this past Friday on PureGrainAudio.com, “Sail on the Stars” has been making serious waves.
We couldn’t be more proud of this video, or more thankful to all the folks who made it happen, especially director Caleb Chamberlain. We truly hope this video is meaningful for you. Enjoy!
-Cross the Divide
“‘Sail on the Stars’ is a song that deals with loss. The message in this song is that when a person is left behind due to death or parting, it is important to be able to let go and find comfort in the right places. In the case of hurt, forgiveness is a vital part of that parting and grieving process. This song deals with all of that in a simple idea, a blessing: ‘sail on the stars’.”
Cross the Divide’s Full-Length Album: FEARLESS!
New England’s fastest growing rock act – Cross the Divide – needs YOU. Since 2014, the band has been showing the world that rock isn’t dead, and that it is a force to be reckoned with. We, (Zac, Chase, and Jake) have spent countless hours working to create a catalog of genre driving original songs to compile a full-length album to put us on the map.
We have gathered contacts, learned the ins-and-outs of the music industry, and have worked hard to truly position ourselves for industry success. Many challenges lie ahead, but the biggest and most imminent is this: funding. For this, WE NEED YOU!
What We Need & What You’ll Get!
We are looking to raise $15k. If we reach our goal, here’s a basic breakdown of where your contributions will go:
- $6,000 – RECORDINGS.
Top quality music needs top quality production. We want to make sure this CD is nothing short of incredible.
- $2,500 – PUBLICITY
We are working with a top notch PR firm to get this music out to the world!
- $1,000 – MUSIC VIDEO
What is a CD release without an awesome new music video!? (Our 3rd!)
- $2,000 – CDs and Distribution
This covers manufacturing the physical CDs, and distribution.
- $2,500 – MERCH and Hidden Costs
Assuming this release goes right, we’ll need to tour, and we’ll need to get more tees, stickers, posters, etc made up. This portion will also cover any potential extra costs that were unforeseen.
- $1,000 – FEES (or approx 8-10% of funds raised)
Rasing money costs money. That’s just the truth of it. A cut goes to indiegogo and credit card processing.
What will you get? Check out all of our “perks”. We have some cool and unique options available for you! On top of whatever perk level you select, you will have OUR UNDYING GRATITUDE. Seriously.
If you’ve read this far, here’s some more insight into the band. Our music isn’t just that. We make music with a purpose. We have chosen to devote our lives to making music that helps those around us. We hear all the time from people who say that our music has given them hope, stopped suicides, reignited their faith, and much more. Your donation isn’t just buying music, it’s changing lives.
The truth is: you’re changing our lives too. Your donation tells us that you believe in us and what we do; and that means the world to us.
Risks & Challenges
We WILL make this CD a reality one way or another. If we do not reach our goal, it may take extra time to complete, or it will not get proper marketing, but the music will reach your ears.
The biggest risks here are just the success levels. The closer we get to our goal, the better chance we have of really making this CD be everything we want it to be, and expanding the reach of our music to the point that we can devote ourselves to it more fully.
Other Ways You Can Help
Some of you just can’t contribute and we totally understand; but that doesn’t mean you can’t help. Here are some ways you can:
- Tell other people about this!
- Direct people to our social media pages.
- While you’re at it, ask other folks to get the word out and make some noise about our campaign.
- Please make use of the the Indiegogo share tools!
That’s it! Thank you all so much. We love each and every one of you.
The big gigs just keep coming! We are very proud to announce that we have been selected to appear on the Magic Hat Stage before Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, and Alter Bridge at the Bank of NH Pavilion at Meadowbrook in Gilford, NH on August 4, 2016.
We will be playing on the Magic Hat stage at 5:30 and playing until the show starts around 7:00pm. After the show, we will be doing an acoustic set on the same stage. This is going to be one heck of a night, and definitely not one to miss. We look forward to seeing you all there.

We are very excited to announce that we have been confirmed to open for SCOTT STAPP of the band Creed on January 24th at The Palladium in Worcester, MA. This show is an incredible opportunity for us, and we are thrilled to be part of it.
Creed was a particularly large influence for Zac in his early guitar years, so this is a special treat for him. We’d love to have you all come join us for this show. Rock with us, then we’ll see you in the crowd, because we’ll definitely be sticking around for the headliner!
As many of you are already aware, we just got back from recording another new single which will be made available in early 2016. We did our best to post bits of our fun to our social media outlets, and we hope you enjoyed that as much as we did. If you missed it, head over to our Facebook page and hit the “show more posts” button on our timeline.
The song we recorded sounds excellent. It really shows the diversity in our sound and another dimension of what we can do. We know that you all are going to love it.
For the moment, we will be playing the title close to the vest. Once we design cover art for the single, we’ll clue you all in. We can hardly wait.
Firsts of all, thank you all for making our release of “The Perfect Storm” such a success! We are so glad you have all enjoyed the music video, and we will definitely be doing more of that.
As a follow up, we’ve decided to give you all a glimpse into what went into the making of that video and the fun we had along the way with a behind-the-scenes video compiled during our filming experience. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
Here it is!
